Eight to forty people, one long table, the brasa burning. Bring your own cake — no corkage, no upcharge.

Birthdays at Restaurant Es Muntant aren't a special operation — they're part of what we do every day. Regulars hitting sixty, parents booking for teenagers, friend groups for the round numbers, hiking groups off the Camí des Correu raising a glass after the walk. Reserve a table, bring the cake, the rest runs itself.

🎂 How it works

Up to 40 people we lay a long table on the terrace or in the dining room. Pick the daily menu for the group (three courses plus a drink), a big-pan paella with variat starters, or a brasa menu à la carte. Bring your own cake; we slice, plate, and serve it without corkage.

🎈 Table and decoration

You can arrive 30 minutes before the reservation to decorate — balloons, table runners, birthday signs. Helium in moderation (the terrace has a vine canopy and lamps). Place cards, napkins, small gifts at each setting are no problem. For birthdays with under-10s we put out colouring pencils and paper on request.

📞 How to book

Online via myrestoo (up to 12 people), or by phone for larger groups. 2-4 weeks ahead usually works — for high-season weekends (June-September) make it 6 weeks. When you book, tell us: party size, occasion (birthday person, age), menu preference, cake yes/no, surprise quiet or loud.

Deposit only for groups of 25+ or for paella pre-orders.

What group sizes do you handle?

From 8 to 40 we set up a long table or a separated section on the terrace or in the dining room. For 40+ we link the tables and can take up to 60 — talk to us.

Can we bring our own cake?

Of course. Birthday cakes and tortes are welcome — we keep them cold, slice them, and plate them with cutlery. No corkage fee. Bring the cake an hour before the reservation or have it delivered.

What about decoration and gifts?

Table decoration, balloons (no helium without prior agreement), cards, name placards — all fine. Arrive 30 minutes before the reservation to set up. Gifts go to the birthday seat; we can clear extra space for gift piles if needed.

What does a birthday cost?

Per person, between €25 (daily menu) and €50 (full brasa menu plus drinks). Group paella orders we cost separately — usually around €20-25 per person on top. Concrete quote by phone.

Can we run a surprise discreetly or out in the open?

Either. Tell us when you book whether the birthday person should be in the dark — we'll set the table accordingly, hide the cake, and only come out when you signal. Or the opposite: table dressed, sign up, full energy from the start.
