Our story
Four generations, one kitchen.
Restaurant Es Muntant sits in the village of Establiments — a five-minute drive north of Palma, at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana. We cook here what our family has always cooked: Mallorcan cuisine, with ingredients from the island and recipes nobody got from a cookbook.
The grill runs on olive wood, not gas. We pick up fish from the Lonja in Palma, sobrasada from the village butcher, tomatoes from Mercat de l'Olivar. Whatever we don't make ourselves comes from someone we know by name.
At the table you'll find regulars, hikers off the GR-221, cyclists up from the Tramuntana, families from the village — and you, once you book. We know most of our guests by name, and we like it when somebody new sits down.
Pa amb oli with house alioli. Frito Mallorquín to my grandmother's recipe. Tumbet when the aubergines are right. Caracoles when the season is right. Everything Mallorca puts in a jar, in a pot, and on the grill.

Our story
Restaurant Es Muntant sits in the Establiments quarter — a traditional village on the northern edge of Palma. A few minutes from the city centre, but a different world. At the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana, we cook what Mallorca has been eating for centuries.
On the menu: meat and fish from an olive-wood charcoal grill, frito mallorquín to grandmother's recipe, nine pa amb oli varieties, paellas to order. Ingredients come from the Palma market, fishermen in Andratx, and growers from the surrounding countryside. Locals, hikers, cyclists and visitors share the same room — the way a Mallorcan restaurant should be.
Our values
Tradition
Mallorcan recipes passed down through generations. Frito, tumbet, snails, pa amb oli — done the way they should be.
Wood-fired grill
Olive wood, not gas. The fire gives meat and fish a flavour no other technique can match.
Local produce
Fish from the lonja, sobrasada from the village butcher, tomatoes from the mercat. Mallorca on the plate.
Family
A family-run restaurant in Establiments. Regulars, hikers, cyclists and neighbours — we know many of them by name.
